Earth Day (

Земли

)
Продолжительность: 40 минут Тип урока: комбинированный, интегрированный
Цель:
формирование экологического мировоззрения обучающихся на англий- ском языке Обучающая: Обобщение, систематизация и активизация лексико-грамматиче- ского материала по теме: «День Земли», изучение и закрепление активного сло- варя занятия, приобретение навыков поведения в конкретных речевых ситуаци- ях; понимание высказываний педагога или собеседника в разных ситуациях об- щения; Развивающая: развитие интереса к общению на английском языке; развитие творческих способностей обучающихся; Воспитательная: повышение мотивации к дальнейшему изучению языка; осу- ществление эстетического воспитания; умение использовать речевые конструк- ции и специальные выражения вежливого общения.
Оборудование:
Плакаты, картинки, индивидуальный раздаточный материал, презентация, му- зыкальное сопровождение к песни «Earth Day» (Джейн Йолэн), ватманы и мар- керы
Ход занятия:

I.

Организационный момент
Обучающиеся делятся на 2 команды. Педагог: Good morning, pupils! Учащиеся: Good morning! Педагог: Will you help me ______ today? Tell me, please, what is the day today and what date will it be on Saturday? Учащийся: Today is ________, the ______ of April Педагог: Thank you. Tell me, please, who is absent?
Учащийся: Nobody is absent. All are present. Педагог: Pupils! Today we have a lot of work to do to, to read and repeat, to discuss and revise, to show and to learn.
II. Фонетическая зарядка (5 мин.)
Учитель: Friends, we continue studying Weather and Climate. Today the theme of our lesson is “Earth Day”. To begin with, look at the screen and repeat the proverb after me! Обучающиеся смотрят презентацию и повторяют слова за педагогом: Whether the weather be fine (Будет ли погода хорошей) Or whether the weather be not. (Или нет.) Whether the weather be cold (Будет ли погода холодной) Or whether the weather be not. (Или нет.) We will walk together. (Мы будем гулять вместе.) Whatever the weather (Какой бы ни была погода.) Whether we like it or not. (Нравится ли нам это или нет.) You work well. I like your sounds. Much better today!
Ш. Речевая практика (10 мин.)

Исполнение песни «Earth Day» (Jane Yolen)
(Обучающиеся приготовили тексты песни, исполняют) Now, it is a time for thinking. You have your own opinion. Our planet consists of…. You have cards on your tables. You should clip them on the blackboard/ Прикрепляют составляющие Планеты Земля на доске. Педагог: Now pay attention to the text! It is typed and copied for everyone. The title is “The Earth is in Danger”.You are to read and translate the text in groups. Обучающиеся читают и переводят текст, напечатанный на отдельных ли- стах (см. Приложение 1). Педагог: I like your reading today, _______! And your reading is (poor),____! Read more and I hope you’ll be a success! Now, pupils, try and find some new words from the text. Read the sentences with the words. (находят новые слова в тексте, выделенные жирным курсивом, и читают предложения с ними). Педагог: Обратите внимание на доску, все названные слова и выражения перед вами на доске. А также у вас в раздаточном материале.

IV. Автоматизация лексических единиц (5 мин.)
Look at this exercise 1! You have to agree or disagree with 11 statements. 1. April 22nd is Earth Day. 2. People all over the world think about our planet. 3. People know how to protect wild animals and plant. 4. People don`t want to help nature. 5. Water is not important for life on the Earth. 6. There is a lot of good clean water on our planet. 7. Lake Baikal is not in danger now. 8. Life on Earth depends on the temperature. 9. Some people do a lot of harm to the forests. 10.People must protect life on Earth. 11. Nature – is our Home! (обучающиеся выполняют задание на соответствие тексту и объясняют свой выбор). Педагог: Everybody is good at work!
V. Закрепление знаний обучающихся (10 мин.)
Создание коллажа «The Earth in danger» (обучающиеся располагают на ватмане картинки-изображения с экологическими проблемами, подписывают их)
VI. Перевод с русского на английский (10минут)

“The Earth is in Danger”
April 22nd is Earth Day. People all over the world think about our planet. They think about air, water, plants and animals on the Earth. They say our planet is in danger. Many people do not know how
to protect animals
and plant world, how to keep the water clean and the air fresh. Bur they are ready to do it. They try
to help nature
. Water is very important for life on the Earth. It is in oceans, seas, rivers and lakes. There is much water on our planet and at the same time there is little water on it. It is so because very little water on the Earth
good for

drinking.
In many rivers and lakes water is very dirty. Sometimes people cannot swim even in the sea because the sea and the seaside are not clean. In many places water is not drinkable.
It is dangerous to use
. For example
Lake Baikal
is the deepest fresh water lake. It's very beauti- ful but now it is in great danger? Because of the factories which are near it. It is 1741 metres deep. At some places the water in the lake is so dirty that it can kill animals and plants in Baikal and near it. The way people live has changed the climate on our planet. Nowadays
the

temperature is rising
. You cannot have real Russian winter in Moscow any more. In the north of the Europe the climate has become milder and warmer too. If the temperature grows by 3-4 degrees it will be impossible
to live on the planet
. Some people's activities do a lot of
harm to the forests.
People cut down trees to build farms, houses and roads. Many animals and plants lose their homes. This is bad for the Earth's air. This is also very bad, because nowa- days
it's difficult to breathe
in big cities. People have lived on our planet for many years.
People depend on their

planet
, on the Sun, on animals and plants around them. Many animals and birds on the Earth are disappearing nowadays. Many of them are in danger. Indian tigers and
African elephants
are among them. People have hunted and killed many tigers in India and a lot of elephants in Africa. Many wild animals and birds are also disappearing from the Earth.People must take special care of them all. We must
save wild animals
. We must find the right balance between land, people and animals.
We must take


care of nature
. So, the problem now is to protect life on the Earth, to save our planet for people.
