формирование навыков восприятия иноязычной речи; введение новой лексики по теме «The spirit of adventures»;развитие умений устной речи. 2.

3 Thank you. And today we will try to make our travelers` journals. Let`s imagine the title of our journals, but remember: you should have the word “adventures” in your titles. 4 Thanks! It was great! Now we will try to characterize the spirit of adventures with the help of different words and word combinations: 1. Business, pleasure, search, curiosity, beauty, go sightseeing, learn traditions, broaden our outlook, allow 5 Well done! And the first page of our journals is “Why do we travel? Will you please match the beginnings with the endings of the reasons:
People like to travel ... alone with friends with parents with a dog with grandparents Usually they travel ... on business for pleasure in search of adventures from curiosity to see the beauty of the world When they travel they like to ... go shopping meet new people make new friends go sightseeing learn traditions of other countries Because travelling is ... exciting useful extraordinary enjoyable good for health disappointing dangerous troublesome And still travelling ... broadens our outlook gives us life experience leaves unforgettable impressions helps us explore the world allows us to understand other people better
6 Nice ideas! Great! Summer is coming. Would you like to travel anywhere? Now let`s remember different places where people enjoy spending their holidays. But I think that there are some mistakes, correct them please! Work in pairs, please. 1. The Great Britain, the America, Russia, Alps, Black Sea, the Paris, the Moscow, the London, the Australia, United States of America, Atlantic ocean, the Africa. 7 Good work! Thank you! Now discuss in your groups where you would like to travel and why. Stick the name of the place and choose the reasons. We would like to travel to (The USA, a cross-country trip, Great Britain, Africa, Australia) Because - It is worth visiting. - There are a lot of places to see. - It is full of ancient monuments. - We would like to know about customs and traditions of this place. - We are interested in social and cultural life of this place. - We would like to make new friends and relax. 8 Now we shall choose the way of travelling. Look at the next page of your journals. We are going to travel -by car -by ship -by bus -by plane -on foot
9 Now let`s speak about the clothes. But we should remember the rule on page 131 in your textbooks. Now take the file with the clothes on your tables and say what things you are going to take with you. Discuss in groups and stick them -a blouse, boots, trainers, a shirt, a cap, a coat, a lot of dresses, a jacket/windbreaker, some T-shirts, two pairs of jeans, a sweater, shoes, a tie, two pairs of trousers, socks, a raincoat, shorts, some skirts, a hat, a school uniform, gloves, a scarf, a map, glasses, a backpack, a flashlight. 10 I think our journals are ready. Will you present them to others. 11 Home task: -give the short review of your journals, please. -Work in groups and add the page “My first journey” 12 How are you today? Let`s see your attitude towards the lesson. Choose the circles according to your mood after the lesson: (orange)– I`ve got the great experience. (yellow) – I haven`t known much today (blue) – sorry, it`s the worst lesson for today.
